The New York Landmarks Conservancy, through the Historic Properties Fund, offers low-interest loans and project management assistance to owners of historic residential, non-profit, religious, and commercial properties throughout the City - mostly in low- to moderate-income communities. The Fund is critical to supporting historic preservation.

The Landmarks Preservation Commission is the New York City agency that is responsible for identifying and designating the City's landmarks and the buildings in the City's historic districts. The Commission also regulates changes to designated buildings.
